On 5th March 2020, we hosted a Wine Masterclass with Alex Schulz from Turkey Flat at Maison Breedewee in Luxembourg City.
Having grown up in the Barossa Valley, Alex has known wine since birth. His parents Christie and Peter started the label Turkey Flat Vineyards in 1990 and from the time he could walk, Alex has played a part in its growth.
Coming all the way from Adelaide, we were particularly happy to welcome Alex in Luxembourg and host a Masterclass for our customers. Following an introduction about the history of Australian wine, we tasted some of Turkey Flat Vineyard's flagship wines: - 2017 Barossa Valley White - 2018 Rosé (96 points – James Halliday) - 2016 Butcher's Block Red - 2016 Grenache (Winner of the Jimmy Watson Trophy 2017) - 2016 Mataro - 2014 Shiraz (97 points - James Halliday) - NV Pedro Ximénez Not only was this the perfect opportunity to ask any technical questions, our customers were also able to taste and purchase some of the prestigious last available award-winning 2016 Grenache.
